aight, so its thanksgiving today...the day that we're supposed to be thankful for the all the things that we have. i've been thinkin' about this all morning and i finally came up with my own little top 10 list...herre it is:
10. the internet - yes, i'm a such a nerd...i'm thankful for the internet. why? because i'm a f'ing e-business major, that's why! its a jungle out there in the internet...but its ok cuz i'm tarzan. hahaha...anyways, aside from business, i've found the internet to be the best way for communicating to my friends. whether its emailing my friends from all parts of the world, or posting something stupid like this thanksgiving list on my site, or IMing my roommate who is physically in the same room as me...i love the internet, man.
9. nice people - i'm thankful for nice people in the world. to me, its all the little things that make the world go 'round...little things like the chick at mcdonalds giving me more than enough sweet & sour sauce...or the guy at hanos remembering my usual order...or walking down to the parking lot and passing some random girl and she smiles at me...i'm thankful for all those simple things in my life.
8. music - i'm not music artist or anything anymore but i am truly thankful for music. to me, i like music because they remind me of a particular person or moment in my life...like the times of the webb homies and i dancing to "bye bye bye" at prom...and potty in the dorms blasting up "eye of the tiger" every single motherfucking day...and the endless nights of listening to techno in the car with alan and james, making our own remixes about food and gay stuff....
7. family - of course i have to thank my family...if it wasn't for my parents having sex one summer night, i wouldn't be herre typing up this list. i also have to thank my brothers for putting up with my shit...and always being there for me when i really need it. and i can't forget my relatives...they are the guys that...well...feed me. i'm thankful for them treating me out to expensive places like todai (seafood/sushi buffet) and genghis khan...and cooking up a fat ass 'ol turkey for thanksgiving.
6. 577 - i could never forget my 577 crew...you guys have been my life for so damn long...its amazing how we all grew up with eachother in saudi and still manage to find ways of getting back together here in the states. sorry i couldn't make it to north carolina for sausage fest '03...but i promise i'll make the next one.
5. cal poly crew - gotta love the cal poly crew...of new and of old. man, its kinda crazy thinkin of all of you guys....from my freshmen year with chris, craig, kristy, laura, eddie, leia (the hot girl that thinks i'm gay)...and now my 4th year with darwin, pavel, sudheer, ashley, ross, potty, tank, angela, elisa, melissa, karen, jp, chin, spencer, april...man, there's so many of you guys i can't fit you all in herre...but i could never forget all the good times. i'm thankful for having such a cool crowd to hang with here at cal poly.
4. webb homies - man, i miss ya guys. even though we spend most of the year apart, we always manage to meet up on breaks and wreak havoc 'ol fashion webb style. i'm thankful for those days of playin' ball, meeting up at SJ's, chillin' at stan's, road trips to norcal, and all of those other good times.
3. my hamster - to my furry little guy, thanks for being so good to me...sometimes i forget to feed you...and forget to clean your cage...but you still you never bite me. thanks, little dude...in return, i'll get ya a fine ass girly hamster one of these days.
2. my co-workers - i've gotta be thankful for my co-workers too. these guys helped me turn a small idea into an online community of 2,000 members and still rising. i'm lookin' forward to many years of workin' with you guys.
1. God - lastly, i want to thank God...for blessing me with all the things i mentioned above. i'm so thankful for all of these things...i don't deserve any of it.
